Fuel Scarcity: Seal Stations Hoarding Fuel, Senate Tells DPR

Senate Receives National Conference Report

The Senate on Tuesday received the report of the National Conference from President Goodluck Jonathan for consideration.
The letter accompanying the report, which was read by the President of the Senate, David Mark, indicated that the conference report had been deliberated upon and approved for implementation by the Federal Executive Council.

Anambra Bans Motorcycles, Tricycles On Highways

The Anambra Government on Wednesday banned the operation of private and commercial motorcycles and tricycles from major highways in the state with effect from June 1.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Uju Nwogu, in Awka.
“All motorcycle and tricycle operators in the state will from next week Monday, June 1, be barred from plying the Enugu-Onitsha highway, as well as Arthur Eze Avenue and Zik’s Avenue in Awka.

Nigerian Army, Britain Map Out 20-Year Development Plan

The Nigerian Army, in conjunction with the British Army, is working on a 20-year development plan with a view to improving its service.
This was disclosed yesterday at a two-day seminar in Abuja by the director of Military Intelligence, Maj.-Gen. Letam Wiwa, who is the chairman of the committee handling the development strategy.
