Men of the Niger state police command have arrested two men, Victor Okebugwu, 3x2, and James Amaonye, 33, for being in possession of 36 ATM cards suspected to have been stolen from members of the public.

3 Bomb Makers Nabbed In Gombe

The military yesterday disclosed that the cordon and search operation conducted by troops in Gombe has led to the arrest of three bomb-making experts.
The arrested persons are suspected to be members of the terrorist Boko Haram group in search of soft targets for attack after being dislodged from their strongholds in Sambisa Forest and other enclaves.

UN Decries Boko Haram’s Sexual Abuse Of Captives

Ms Zainab Bangura, UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, on Wednesday decried reported rape and forced marriages of female captives of Boko Haram.
Bangura lamented in a statement signed by her Office’s Advocacy and Women’s Rights Specialist, Ms Letitia Anderson, that one year after the Chibok Girls abduction many were still in captivity.
“Over a year since the extremist group Boko Haram abducted 276 teenage girls in Chibok, Borno State, in Nigeria, many still remain in captivity.

Boko Haram: 600 Soldiers Face Court Martial In Lagos, Abuja

The Nigerian Army yesterday said about 600 of its officers and soldiers were facing court martial for various offences, before the general courts-martial sitting in Lagos and Abuja.
The army authorities also explained that the Army Council had not sat to either confirm or reverse the death sentence passed last year on 66 soldiers convicted for mutiny by a general court-martial, making it difficult for the victims to appeal the verdict.

I Nearly Committed Suicide – Adebayor

Tottenham Hotspur’s Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor revealed in a candid Facebook post on Wednesday that he considered suicide over a feud with his family.
