Technology Research: UNICAL, others to benefit as PZ Cussons, NOTAP sign MOU

PZ Cussons will upgrade chemical laboratories at two Nigerian Universities and one Research Institute following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion.

The University of Calabar (UNICAL), Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola and the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology, Zaria, are in line to get laboratory upgrades courtesy of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc and the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP).

PZ Cussons Nigeria and NOTAP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost research and technology in Nigeria.
According to the agreement, chemical laboratories at two Nigerian Universities and one Research Institute will be upgraded, funded by PZ Cussons and coordinated by NOTAP.
in a statement issued to ThisDay, PZ Cussons said the intervention is targeted at filling the infrastructural gap in Nigeria's institutions, providing state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate the conduct of robust research activities and production of high calibre Research & Development (R&D) personnel.
Responding on behalf of the benefiting institutions, the Vice Chancellor, Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Professor Kyari Mohammed, thanked the company and promised that the resources will be judiciously used.
