Mu’azu, Anenih Resign As PDP Chairman, BOT Chairman

Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Chief Tony Anehih , Chairman, PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), on Wednesday, resigned their positions.
Anenih’s resignation was contained in a statement issued by Prof. Adewale Oladipo, the PDP National Secretary.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Anehih`s resignation followed that of the party`s National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu`azu, earlier in the day.
“The PDP National Working Committee (NWC) has received the resignation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of our great party, Chief Tony Anenih on personal grounds.
“In accepting the resignation, the NWC noted the outstanding contributions of Anenih in the party over the years, especially in his capacity as the BoT chairman,’’ the statement said.
It added that as one of the founding fathers of the PDP, the NWC appreciated Anenih’s guiding role in the party in the last 16 years and wished him well in his future endeavours.
The statement stated that Sen. Walid Jibrin, Secretary, Board of Trustees, would hold forth pending the election of a new BoT Chairman. (NAN)
