Canada 2015: Super Falcons Berth In Canada

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have landed in Toronto, Canada, the venue of their training tour, with high hopes ahead of the World Cup which will kick off in June.
The team which left Abuja on Wednesday night aboard an Air France airline and landed in Paris around 5:45am (Thursday) local time, after a five-and-a half hour trip.
The team waited at the Charles De Gaulle airport for five hours before connecting its fight to Toronto and, upon arrival at the Toronto Pearson International Airport, was welcomed by Nigeria’s Deputy High Commissioner, Charles N. Onianwa, who charged them to “make Nigeria proud”.
He said: “I must, first and foremost, welcome you to Canada because the tournament we are all looking forward to is a very important one. Last year, the Falconets did us proud here and now we have the Super Falcons, so expectations are high and we have no doubt that you are going to clinch the cup.”
In his response, the team’s handler, Edwin Okon, said that Super Falcons’ arrival heralds “the coming of the champions”.
He said: “Our arrival is that of champions. We are ready and I look forward to the finals and getting the cup here in Canada,” Okon boasted.
