The Microsoft Nigeria Cloud Start-Up Academy

The Microsoft Cloud Start-Up Academy is an initiative that will train and equip 100 Cloud entrepreneurs or "Cloudpreneurs" over 4 weeks in order to set up their own business and become Microsoft Cloud technology resellers. 20 lucky participants will qualify for Seed Capital to jump-start their business and go through another 20 weeks of mentorship and sales guidance to build their business.

Requirements:

To be eligible to participate in this programme, you must:

Be passionate about IT
Have a creative mind
Be ready to become a Microsoft Cloud Reseller
Either have been in employment with no more than between 1- 3 years of working experience or be an existing business in operation for no more than 3 years.
You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the SME landscape in Nigeria

Programme Overview:

Selection process will be done through the partners of this project and will be binding. The 100 successful candidates will pass through a 4-week training programme provide selected participants with accelerated training on Microsoft Cloud technology and Entrepreneurial topics, to develop their capacity in areas including: Sales, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Marketing & Communication, and Start-up management.
After the first 4 weeks, the top 30 with the best business execution plans will be invited to pitch in front of a panel and the top 20 will be selected to be eligible to participate in the next phase of the programme and access to start-up capital provided by Diamond Bank.
Furthermore, the successful 20 candidates will be put through an additional 5 months of sales coaching; financial advisory and business mentorship to ensure that their business takes off.
